It is no secret that we are all sinners. Unfortunately we can not go back and tell Adam and Eve else wise. What I have realised, is that we cannot escape our past, although we can embrace it.
We can embrace all that we have done, both good and bad, because everything can be used to glorify God. One of My favourite verses,
1 Corinthians 10:31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
is a constant reminder of why I do what I do, why I study, why I tweet, why I blog, why I share my testimony.
A testimony always brings glory to God through humbling one’s self. A testimony wouldn’t be testament to what God has done in our lives if we weren’t broken sinners. Now I am not saying that we all have to have testimonies of how we were once addicts, drunkards or abusers, because our testimony can be of how God has always cared for us, always blessed us, always completed us.
I think sometimes we feel as though we have to beat someone else’s testimony of coming from a worse place, almost as if it were a competition to see who was worse. This deeply saddens me, because we all have a testimony and if we feel as if our testimony isn’t grand enough then we aren’t glorify God as we can and should be.
I guess what I am trying to say is, don’t be ashamed of your testimony. If your testimony is of a sin-filled place where you have come from, or if it is of how God has always been there for you, either way, you have a powerful testimony! Use it to glorify God. So I thought, if you would like to, feel free to share your testimony by leaving a comment below, glorify God with your testimony!
Share your testimony; glorify God…
